Dream Interpretation

Throughout the Old and New Testament, God spoke to people through dreams and visions. Our God wants to communicate with us, and we believe He still speaks through dreams and visions today.

Dreams and visions are highly symbolic, as are the Scriptures. The Bible gives many examples of people having insight to interpret the symbolism and understand what God was communicating.

Not every dream is from God. Some are generated by our own souls, some are from the enemy, and some are simply the result of food, medication, or other biological factors.

By studying the symbolism and meaning in scripture, along with revelation from the Holy Spirit, we can also grow in our ability to discern the source of each dream as well as understand what God is saying through dreams and visions.

There are other schools of thought and philosophy that also claim to interpret dreams (new age, popular psychology theories, etc.) However, without a biblical foundation for understanding symbolism and meaning, other methods will not accurately interpret dreams, particularly those which are truly from God.

Dream interpretation is both a gift and a skill, and it can be developed through study of the Word, biblical teaching on dreams, and practice.
