Are you on hold? Wishing and hoping?
What kind of life are you waiting to have?
“Someday my prince will come.”
“Someday my ship will come in.”
“Someday I will be happy.”
“I’m just waiting on God.”
Did that last statement bother you? Numerous people use that last one as an excuse for why they don’t have what they want now.
Do you want to be well? Slim? Happy? Prosperous? Powerful?
Saying you want it is only the tip of the iceberg.
Typically 90% of an iceberg is under the surface. In the same way, our apparent belief system is very small compared to the hidden belief system underneath.
Here is a question to uncover what your belief system really is:
Why don’t you have what you want now?
Stop here for a moment and think about your answer.
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.” ~ Ps 139:23-24 NAS
Did you blame somebody else? Is it really their fault? Could it actually be your inner beliefs about what you deserve?
Most people either feel they don’t deserve what they want, or they are afraid how their lives will change if they get it. That is internal self-sabotage. If you don’t believe you deserve it, you will sabotage your own efforts to succeed, and your true beliefs will produce results rather than what you say you want.
Do you deserve to be slim? Happy? Successful?
Instead of wishing and hoping and waiting, it is time to decide to live differently. It is time to move out of passivity into accepting the responsibility of the stewardship of your life.
God’s intention is that we experience life as His sons and daughters.
“He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will” ~ Eph 1:5 NAS
“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” ~ 2 Cor 1:20 KJV
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!” ~ Matt 7:11 NAS
Different results won’t happen until you decide that is how it’s going to be. When you decide, when you choose, then you are positioned to walk in that manifestation. You decide and say. God decided to create light and He released that decision and intention with words: “Light, be!”
Get rid of the counter-intention that you don’t deserve it. Forgive yourself and accept yourself. God is not glorified when we live beneath our inheritance. His kingdom advancement is not served by religious excuses for remaining ineffective, nor by condemnation. Holy Spirit is faithful to correct us, and life itself is a tremendous teacher.
Think through it until you have settled that you do deserve to be happy because you are your Father’s child, created in His image. Accept that it is okay if your life changes when you have your desire.
“…He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises.” ~ Heb 8:6
Make the powerful decision by getting in agreement with God. Decide how it is going to be!
Declare with intention: “I have decided to agree with the Word and I have decided to __________.”
Instead of wishing and hoping, anticipate and expect, mixing faith and action with your words.
Let me hear of your success!
